2016 TCM Development Forum, which took “service, cooperation and innovation” as its theme,was held by China Pilot TCM Development and Reform Zone (Dongcheng District,Beijing) and Beijing TCM Health Care Association on May 14^th. This forum is one of the most important contents of the 9th TCM culture week and the 8th Ditan TCM health and culture festival.

Participating experts explained the Outline of Strategic Planning for the Development of TCM (2016-2030) in details. It is reported that the release of the Outline is a new milestone of TCM industry, because it is the first time for TCM to be raised to the national strategy and a clear goal has been put forward also. Accelerating the development of TCM service industry is a necessary requirement for the comprehensive development of TCM. Moreover,it is of great significance to deepen the reform of the TCM system and improve the quality of people's health.

The participating experts and scholars have also discussed the direction of the development of TCM.Hongxin CAO, Director of Department of Science and Technology of State Administration of TCM, said that only the innovation can promote the continuous development of TCM and the science and technology must be used for the innovative approaches.
