On March 12^th, the establishment and unveiling ceremony of the EBM Center of TCM was held at the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences.

The EBM Center of TCM should shoulder the great mission of promoting the integration and development of EBM and TCM, and earnestly achieve high starting point planning, high level of openness, high-quality development, and focus on the " domestic first-class and world-class" positioning. We should strengthen the top-level design and coordinate superior resources to build an internationally recognized EBM research collaboration network and promote TCM to better benefit human health.

Chen Fengfuzhen introduced the achievements of traditional medicine such as the promotion of TCM by the WHO, and congratulated the establishment of the EBM Center of TCM. TCM is China's national treasure. It has made important contributions to the health of Chinese and the world's people for thousands of years. It should be affirmed the safety and effectiveness of TCM. It is hoped that TCM will serve the Chinese people, provide more evidence on the efficacy of TCM to the WHO, and actively participate in the development of traditional medicine along the “Belt and Road” countries.

It is understood that at present, the mainstream model of medical knowledge and practice in the world is based on scientific evidence as the core EBM model. Clinical evidence has become the main basis for evaluating the effectiveness and safety of medical treatment measures, and has become an important reference for national health drug policy.

By integrating the superior resources of all parties, we will build a world-class academic institution for EBM in TCM. The Center will vigorously carry out the construction of key technology support platforms for EBM research in TCM, and provide technical support systems and collaborative networks for designing scientific, quality controllable, operationally compliant, internationally-connected for high-quality evidence-based evaluation research; The construction of EBM platform, using the latest modern science and technology, through the cooperation with the global team of EBM advantages, to achieve the storage, sharing and transformation of high-quality evidence, to promote the evidence-based evidence of Chinese medicine is more widely accepted.
