WHO has developed training and practice guidelines for acupuncture and massage

The world health organization (WHO) working group meeting on the training and practice of acupuncture and massage was held in Wuhan, Hubei province on August 15 and 16. The meeting was convened by the WHO and organized by the Chinese acupuncture society. More than 30 experts in traditional medicine from 12 countries participated in the discussion.

The meeting further refined and clarified the draft technical specifications for the training and practice of acupuncture and massage. Meeting around the early stage of WHO to draw up "acupuncture technical training specification (draft)", "standard of acupuncture and moxibustion technology practice (draft) ", “the massage skills training specification (draft) "and the" guidelines for massage technique practice (draft) "to discuss. Acupuncture and massage of the key technologies involved in the training and practice problems, access to technology, target and scope, outline and entries, standardize the content and the training time are the details of further communication. At the same time, the dialogue will focus on the differences in the policies, regulations, training requirements and qualification certification of acupuncture and massage technology access in different countries.
