Jinan is famous for its "Spring City", with the largest number of springs in the country. Baotu Spring, located in the central area of Jinan, Shandong Province, is located in the middle of Baotu Spring South Road and Luoyuan street, with Qianfo Mountain in the south, Quancheng Square in the East and Daming Lake in the north, covering an area of 158 mu. It is a characteristic garden mainly composed of springs. The three springs are closely arranged in a line, burst out in unison, and have a great momentum. Therefore, they are called "the first spring" by Emperor Qianlong, the first of 72 springs in Jinan, the spring city, and one of the three famous scenic spots in Jinan.

Baotu Spring Park was founded in 1956. It has rich cultural connotations and is one of the most representative landscape gardens with the artistic characteristics of North and south gardens. Baotu Spring pool is 30 meters long from the east to the West and 20 meters wide from the south to the north. There are large stone blocks around the spring, surrounded by handrails, which can overlook the wonderful scenery of the three springs in the pool.

Baotu Spring water is divided into three streams, which gush day and night. When the water is full, it can reach several feet. The so-called "Baotu", that is, the meaning of jumping and rushing, reflects the characteristics of Baotu Spring three caves bursting and gushing. "Baotu" is not only ancient and elegant, but also has both sound and meaning. Baotu is not only used to describe the spring's "jumping" shape and constant momentum, but also to simulate the sound of "Budu" and "Budu" when the spring is gushing.

Baotu Spring water gushes out from the underground limestone cave, with the maximum volume of 240000 cubic meters per day and the exposed elevation of 26.49m. The water is clear to the bottom, the water quality is pure and sweet, and the bacteria content is very low. After testing, it meets the national drinking water standard. It is an ideal natural drinking water, which can be directly drunk. Spring water is constant at about 18 ℃ all year round. In winter, the water vapor curls up on the water surface like a thin layer of smoke. On the one hand, the spring pool is deep and sparkling, on the other hand, there are pavilions painted and carved beams and painted rafters, which constitute a wonderful fairyland on earth. The local people call it "cloud steaming and fog moistening".
