From November 25th to 26th, the National Animal Genetic Resources Committee organized experts to Shandong Chunteng Food Co., Ltd. to carry out the site identification of “Zaozhuang Black Covered Pigs”. Through on-the-spot investigations, reviewing data records, listening to reports, conducting inquiries and discussions, it was believed that Zaozhuang black covered pigs meet the requirements for identification of live pigs in the National “New varieties of livestock and poultry supporting the Department of examination and identification of the genetic resources of livestock and poultry measures”. And the experts agreed to pass the site identification.

Next, Shandong Chunteng Food Co., Ltd. will continue to study the history and data of “Zaozhuang Black Covered Pigs”, increase the collation and improvement of related materials, combine the advantages of production, study and research to increase the conservation, breeding, development and utilization of “Zaozhuang black covered pigs”.
