The Traditional Architecture: Melting the Tradition into the Modern Life
National architecture is an important part of traditional Chinese architecture which has a far-reaching influence to Chinese culture. Architectures can be the expressions of cities that each one is unique.
For the purpose to promote the work of protecting ethnic and religious architecture, the 19th Chinese National Architecture Academic Annual Conference was held in Bejing.
Daiheng GUO, an architecture professor of Qinghua University has given a speech entitled as “The Buddhist Architecture in Royal Gardens” in Beijing. In Professor Guo’s opinion, the traditional Chinese culture fits in royal gardens and old architectures in Beijing. But unfortunately, the inside logic of architecture had been broken. It results that all cities put on a same mask that is the architecture.
The urbanization had been regarded as a way to develop the economy for a long period. The first thing to be considered by the authorities when we face the urbanization is the influence for the level but not the history and the cultural inheritance.
At the Minority Architecture Protecting Forum, the topic which on how to promote the development of minority counties in the light of new-type urbanization had been enthusiastic discussed. Prompting the characteristic minority architecture in existence and building characteristic counties and towns is a way to solve the problem. And put the knowledge about national architecture into the current education system will be extremely helpful.
