The gown made of Gerbera delavayi is the unique traditional clothes of the Yiethnic group in Zika Village, Yunnan Province. Yi people live in Zika Village pick fire weed in the mountain, then tear white down in weeds out which is the material of the clothes.

The making process of such gown is difficult and complicated, a skillful artisan couldonly produce about 10 gowns every day. Since modern clothes industry is advanced now, the traditional handmade clothes are being forgotten. And because of the environment has been damaged, the fire weed is hard to be found now.

Thegown made of fire weed in Zika Village has been put in the Yunnan Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2009. Yulan LI, the inheritor of such craft has recruited apprentices to help the heritage of the craft. And the local government has helped local people to solve energy source problem and economic problem, in case of the local forest is overcut.
