Exhibition on Works of Xishuangbanna Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritors was Launched

On May 10th, 2017, Exhibition on Works of Xishuangbanna Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritors was launched at the 1920 Art Museum of Xishuangbanna Newspaper Office.

 

On the exhibition, 12 intangible cultural heritage inheritors gathered to display, discuss and study. When appreciated intangible cultural heritage masterpieces, the audience also got an understanding of the creation process and stories of intangible cultural heritage projects and have written down the exhibition experiences.

 

Xishuangbanna is a place with rich ethnic culture and charming intangible cultural heritages. For the protection, development and inheritance of Xishuangbanna intangible cultural heritage projects, “1920 Art Museum”, jointly with the Jinghong Cultural Center, launched this activity to propaganda, popularize, develop and inherit intangible cultural heritages. This exhibition totally has 3 national intangible cultural heritage inheritors, and 9 provincial inheritors.

 

It is reported that the exhibition will last 40 days from May 10th to June 20th, free of charge. The specific contents include more than 10 intangible cultural heritage projects, such as the Water-Sprinkling Festival, Pattra-leaf Scripture, Zhangha (a kind of traditional Quyi form in the Dai nationality), Dai brocade and so on. The exhibition introduces and demonstrates intangible cultural heritage projects in the form of combining text, photos and objects.
