On December 7^th, the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology, and the Ministry of Finance and Economy, jointly issued the first batch of Zhejiang Province traditional craft revitalization catalogue. The catalog contains 100 traditional craft projects， involving 15 categories：Spinning, dyeing and weaving, garment making, weaving, carving, furniture, metal processing, paper-cutting, ceramics, kitchen production, lacquerware, printing, tea processing, alcohol making, others.

On March 12^th, 2017, the "China Traditional Crafts Revitalization Plan" has been approved and forwarded by the State Council. The Plan identifies 10 major tasks. The establishment of the Zhejiang Province Traditional Crafts Revitalization Catalogue is one of the main tasks of Zhejiang Province's “Implementation Opinions on Implementing the Chinese Traditional Crafts Revitalization Plan”.

The first batch of traditional craft revitalization catalogues is based on the list of representative projects of intangible cultural heritage above the provincial level, which is helpful for the demonstration of traditional crafts projects and the formation of national or local brands.

The revitalization of traditional crafts is one of the important contents of implementing the "Zhejiang Province's Inheritance and Development of Zhejiang Excellent Traditional Culture Action Plan". It is not only conducive to the protective inheritance of intangible cultural heritage, but also plays an active role in promoting rural revitalization, the integration of arts and tourism, employment income, and poverty alleviation.
