Qinghhai Province has accomplished the systematic general investigationon Tibetan medicineresources in the experimental unitof the fourth general investigation on Chinese Traditional Medicine.

This experimental unit work of general investigation on Tibetan medicineresources has made a comprehensive survey of the species, distribution,reserves and the resources change trend of the wild medicinal materialin 8 counties. They also has gathered and preserved the specimen of the Tibetanmedicine resources, understood the supply and demand situation of Tibetanmedicine and focused on the investigation on the representative Tibetanmedicine resources in Qinghai province.

The team of general investigation has investigated 46 villages and townsin 9 counties, 321 administrative villages,completed 153 sample areas and generally investigated 312 original medicinalplants in which there are 124 characteristic investigation varieties. In themeanwhile, they have also gathered 109 medicinal material samples, made 1212specimen, gathered and preserved 23954 copies of media and photos. According tothe distribution of Tibetan medicine resources, they have confirmed 312original medicinal plants in which there are 124 characteristic investigationvarieties.
