Under the impetus of the Sino-Arab Technology Transfer Center, the Shanghai Jiaotong University Health Management and Service Innovation Center and the Egyptian Chinese University signed a cooperation agreement at the International Conference on TCM and Functional Medicine held in Cairo, Egypt. The two sides will jointly establish Egyptian Chinese Medicine Hospital.

On January 5, 2015, the Ministry of Science and Technology approved the construction of the Sino-Arab State Technology Transfer Center by Ningxia, and the center was unveiled on September 10 of the same year. This national technology platform aimed to consolidate and train a group of specialized technology transfer institutions and talents, and build a technology transfer collaboration network covering 22 countries in China and around the world. At present, Sino-Arab Technology Transfer Center has established bilateral technology transfer sub-centers in 8 countries, and many projects have successfully signed contracts and reached cooperation.

It is reported that the Sino-Arab Technology Transfer Center will actively seek the support of the Ministry of Science and Technology in 2019 to build a national-level international technology transfer center; organize a Sino-Arab technology transfer and innovation cooperation conference to promote cross-border technology transfer; support Ningxia universities and enterprises to establish joint laboratories and international technology transfer centers with relevant institutions in the countries and regions along the “Belt and Road”.
