A novel coronavirus pneumonia prevention and control Wuchang international seminar was held in video form recently.The meeting introduced the background and effect of "Wuchang model", and shared the experience of anti epidemic in China.

At the meeting, Tong Xiaolin, head of the medical treatment expert group of the State Administration of traditional Chinese medicine, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and chief researcher of the Chinese Academy of traditional Chinese medicine, and Wang Hui, deputy director of the Health Bureau of Wuchang District, Wuhan City, Hubei Province affirmed the achievements of the "Wuchang model". In the critical situation of centralized outbreak, serious shortage of medical resources, and a large number of high-risk people unable to get timely diagnosis and treatment, "Wuchang mode" allows TCM to intervene in the first time, so that the epidemic prevention and control gateway moves forward and sinks to the community. As an innovative mode of community prevention and control in the face of new and sudden major public health events, "Wuchang mode" builds the first line of defense for community prevention and control of new and sudden infectious diseases.

The conference was hosted by the World Federation of Acupuncture Societies and chaired by Liu Baoyan, President of the World Federation of Acupuncture Societies. Experts from China, Singapore, Canada, Australia, France, Japan and other countries attended the conference.
