China’s first Han embroidery gathering place, “Chinese Han Embroidery Circle”, was unveiled in Jianghan District, Wuhan on the 8th. The gathering place is composed of Han Embroidery Exhibition Center and Han Embroidery Master Studio. It integrates design, production, teaching, experience, display, communication and sales.

Han embroidery originated from Chu embroidery in 2300 years ago. It is based on Wuhan and covers the regional embroidery of Hubei Province. Compared with other embroidery, Han embroidery's stitching method is rough, colorful, conceived, decorative, and elegant. It is unique in the Chinese embroidery industry. In 2008, Han embroidery was included in China's national intangible cultural heritage.

 

he Chinese Han embroidery circle takes the form of scene restoration, and uses the four major categories of Han embroidery to show the historical style and folk customs of the old Hankou, and reproduce the famous embroidered street in history. Han embroidery master studio is mainly used for the design, production, teaching, communication, display, etc. of Han embroidery inheritors, and encourages them to innovate and develop the industry.

 

China Han embroidery circle will focus on building brand, forming sponge effect, continue to attract more people to join the Han embroidery circle, expand the Han embroidery inheritance team. At the same time, it will actively seek cooperation with universities, research institutions, enterprises and other enterprises, so as to link up the design, production and training of Han embroidery, improve the industrial chain of Han embroidery, and make intangible cultural heritage protection and industrial development mutually beneficial and win-win.
