When it comes to Macau, many people's first impressions are the Ruins of St. Paul's, which is included in the World Cultural Heritage List. The "Chinese-language instruments" that entered the World Memory Heritage List in 2017 are still unknown to the public. The “Chinese Language Document – The Macau Story in the Dongbo Tower Archive”, which is being held at the National Museum of China, provides an excellent opportunity for Beijing audiences to understand.

The "Chinese-language instruments" were mainly formed in the middle of the 18th century to the middle of the 19th century. The main body is the archives formed by Chinese officials in the Qing Dynasty during the governance of Macao and the documents of the Macao-Australia Council. The Chinese archives together with the original Portuguese translations and The draft has been composed of more than 3,600 documents and is now in the National Archives of East Porta, Portugal. In 2017, the National Archives of East Porta of Portugal and the Macao Archives jointly declared the "Memory of the World" in the name of " Archives of Macao local government in Qing dynasty (1693-1886)" and was officially included.

The exhibition selected more than 100 archival documents for display, divided into different chapters, tells about the protection and restoration of "Chinese documents", and confirms the archival documents with relevant graphic and text materials of the Qing dynasty.
