For the 10th National Cultural Heritage Day, the 2nd Intangible CulturalHeritage Protection Achievements Exhibition of Songyuan City(Jilin Province)which themed as “Conservation and Sharing” was held at Songyuan Museum of Arton June 9^th.

The event was under the auspices of Songyuan Municipal Party CommitteePropaganda Department and Songyuan Press and Publication Bureau which wasundertaken by Songyuan Museum of Art and QianGuo Intangible Cultural HeritageProtection Center. It is held for the purpose of strengthening the protectionand inheritance of the intangible cultural heritage, showing outstandingcultures, expanding the coverage of campaigns and arousing public attention tointangible cultural heritage. Moreover, it is to make the intangible culturalheritage better integrated into the society, promoting cultural development andprosperity of Songyuan  and thenpromoting the construction of “Happiness Songyuan”.

The protection work of intangible cultural heritage is highly valued bySongyuan Municipal Party Committee and Songyuan local government. In recentyears, with the active efforts of the relevant departments and the jointparticipation of the community, the protection work of intangible culturalheritage in Songyuan presents a good situation. At present, among the 109intangible cultural heritages at the city-level or above, 10 items wereincluded in the national list of intangible cultural heritage and 47 items werelisted into the provincial-level intangible cultural heritage list. Inaddition, 1 person was identified as a representative successor of nationalintangible cultural heritage and 41 people were identified as therepresentative successors of provincial intangible cultural heritage.
