First batch of Encyclopaediaof Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage, written for 2 years by domesticexcellent scholars who are organized by the China Federation ofLiterary and Art Circles Publishing Corporation, have been publishedrecently in Beijing, which contains 3 kinds of four volumes.

The project of publishing Encyclopaediaof Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage was set up by the China Federationof Literary and Art Circles Publishing Corporation in 2012 andfinally published by the funding of China Literature and Art Foundation. It hasmade comprehensive and systematic check and consolidations on the academic achievementson intangible cultural heritages both in and out of China and it has alsoassimilated and used the latest academic achievements for reference. The managing editorof this book is Feng Jicai, the chairman of Chinese Folk Literature and Art Association, also the famous research expert on intangible culture. The firstbatch published includes epic volume, inheritor volume and representativeprojects volume, a total of four volumes with 3 kinds.


Experts and scholars have spoken highly ofthis book and have also given constructive suggestions on how to take theadvantage of the internet to promote Chinese traditional culture. He Dongpingthinks that intangible cultural heritage is a cultural pattern which has symbolic meaning in recent times.
