A National Intangible Cultural Heritage Park Will be Founded in Shanghai
A National Intangible Cultural Heritage Park is going to be established in Fengjing, a well-known ancient town which located in Southwest Shanghai. At the end of 2015, a joint announcement was delivered by Economic Cooperation Associations of Shanghai Office of various provinces (autonomous regions), Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Alliance, Chinese Culture Development Co.,Ltd., and Shanghai Zhongfa Holding Group Co., Ltd.: The project of Shanghai NationalIntangible Cultural Heritage Park is officially launched. The position of park isoriginally where Fengjing Outlets is, belonging to Zhongfa Holding Group Co.,Ltd. Transformed to Shanghai Intangible Cultural Heritage Tourism City, it isscheduled to open on June 7th, 2016, with a total investment of 3 billion yuan. After opening, it can receive 6 million people and arrange 3,000 people to work annually.
World Intangible Cultural Heritage City in Shanghai, namely the project of Shanghai NationalIntangible Cultural Heritage Park, on the basis of the items collected in the UNESCO’s Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage and ChineseNational Intangible Cultural Heritage List and provincial and municipal ones,gathering representative intangible cultural heritages at home and abroad,based on the protection, inheritance and development of intangible cultural heritage, builds a data base of intangible cultural heritage and online interactive platform in order to setting up a new cultural project in the formof intangible cultural experience tourism and by means of “Internet Plus”. Thepark has multiple core functional areas, such as the Goods Hall of Chinese 56 ethnic groups’ culture, overseas intangible cultural heritage pavilion, intangible cultural heritage art museum, inheritors’ crafts and workshops of intangible cultural heritage art, studios of folk paintings and calligraphy masters, special gourmet shops and hotels of Town Xitang, medium-sized national art performance halland so on, in order to creating the exhibition and trading platform of representative intangible cultural heritage items, at the same time vigorously docking Shanghai Disneyland, officially open in the spring of 2016.
It is known from the recent “2015 Cultural and Financial Forum”, the added valueof cultural industry in China has reached 2.4 trillion yuan in 2014, among that Shanghai has reached 140 billion yuan, accounting for almost 6% of the Gross NationalProduct, being the pillar industry of Shanghai national economy. As theShanghai new cultural project, Shanghai National Intangible Cultural Heritage Parkis the cultural industrial cluster of intangible cultural heritage tourism,entertainment, conference, catering, shopping, Internet and all-round displaysand sales intangible cultural representative works (goods) in the forms of onlineshopping mall, electronic exhibition hall, the offline experience and so on.
