The Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum Was Built in Jinwan

On December 20th, the three-day “the Fourth Session of Four Districts of Cross-Straits of Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition” closed in Jinwan district of Zhuhai, Guangdong Province. On the opening ceremony, the Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum  opened to thepublic for free.

 

Since the opening of the exhibition, the ancient Sanzao Ballad, the Sanzao Crane Dance, Sanzao Weaving and delicious Dingjiawan refreshments have showed one byone. The whole exhibition was divided into three sections, including demonstration, fun games of intangible cultural heritage and their performances. Among them, playing sandbags, kicking shuttle cocks and beating spinning tops which belong to the memories of childhood, have reemerged asintangible cultural heritage items.

 

ChengLai Bajiu, a 45 year-old man, brought his Thangka works. On November 2015, hewon a gold medal on the Sixteenth Session of China Arts and Crafts Master Worksand International Art Exhibition. Each of his charming masterpieces let the audience from Zhuhai and Macao take a close look at the charming amorous feelings of Tibet.

 

Keyitems used in Tengchong Shadow Play, from artists of Baoshan city of Yunnan, attracted the attention of the audience. Although they are tiny objects, each of them ismade of the local cattle leather. And to complete a piece of work needs various production processes. “Though we can't play shadow play now, we can add a lightbox to make it become the decoration.” Mr. Liu from Macao excitedly bought several lights made of cow leather.

 

For the item that has been included in the Extension Projects of Yunnan IntangibleCultural Heritage List, the silver producer from Yunnan was apparently moreskilled in marketing, not only using a portable projector to repeat CCTV's introduction to this item, but introducing recent marketing activities byWeChat.

 

“The silver products of Wangqing village are mainly sold to all the ethnic groups inYunnan, some to Tibet, Sichuan, Guangxi, Guizhou and surrounding countries suchas Burma, Thailand and Nepal. The silver chopsticks, Kowloon Wine Sets, Baijialocks are our best-selling products and ethnic gifts with local characteristics.”Exhibitors said proudly.

 

“Unlike previous, this exhibition, themed as ‘Cultural Inheritance and Innovation on One Belt and One Road’, displays China's intangible cultural heritage projects,particularly intangible cultural heritage and cultural and creative products inthe culture industry corridor of ethnic group including Zang, Qiang, Yi. Becauseof this, all inheritors bring a lot, such as elegant Yi embroidery, mysterious and ancient Naxi Dongba painting, quaint and chic Jianchuan woodcarving and fragrant Tibet perfume,etc.” Huiping ZHANG, the general manager of Zhuhai International Exhibition Company that undertook the exhibition, introuduced.


The iIntangible Cultural Heritage Museum, which is free to the public from December18th, attracted numerous audience. With “With stories” as keywords, this folk museum will start an school of intangible cultural heritage to make the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage closer to thecitizens. The museum fuses digital performance measures to comprehensively and multiply present the history behind intangible cultural heritage to the audience. It gives full play to the education, demonstration and research withthe principle of “resources integration, centralized management, scale display”.
