On June 1^st, 2017, learned from the press conference of Information Office of Chengdu Municipal People’s Government,the 6^th International Festival of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (referred to as “The 6^th Intangible Cultural Heritage Festival”)will be held  inChengdu from June 10^th to 18^th.

The 6^th Intangible Cultural Heritage Festival themes as “The Vivid Practice of Inheritance and Development”, follows the concept of “Entering the Life with Living Vigor” and guided by “World Outlook, Chinese Festival, Chinese Opera, Chinese Inheritance”. There will be 400 wonderful events on the festival, which attract 105 national, regional and international organizations to participate, including 82 countries attending conferences and international forums, 13 performing countries, 23 exhibiting countries.

At that time, 7 major events will be successively held, including the opening ceremony, international conferences and forums, traditional performing arts and folk solar terms performances, international intangible cultural heritage exhibition, intangible cultural heritage sports achievement exhibition, traditional performing arts in the community and themed parallel session activities, and intangible cultural heritage promotion activities.

In addition, various activities guided by “World Outlook, Chinese Festival, Chinese Opera, Chinese Inheritance” will be held at Chengdu International Intangible Cultural Heritage Expo Park.

The section, “World Outlook – Exchange and Mutual Learning, All Rounded Development” contains the opening ceremony show, international exhibitions and so on. On the occasion, traditional performing arts teams from 13 countries will perform at the Expo Park.

Moreover, the 6^th Intangible Cultural Heritage Festival combines with cultural tourism and cultural trade, so that to put itself on an international platform of exchanging and mutual learning intangible cultural heritage. It is also aimed at constructing Chengduas an international city of intangible cultural heritage protection, a distribution trade center of international intangible cultural heritage products, also a center city of music industry and foreign exchange.
