On June 10^th, 2017, the opening ceremony of 2017 “Cultural and Natural Heritage Day” was held at the Science & Culture Square in Tonghua City, Jilin Province. Relevant leaders including the mayor of Tonghua attended this ceremony.

The activities include the theatrical performance, the intangible cultural heritage exposition, related lectures and the achievement exhibition.

The theatrical performance of Jilin intangible cultural heritage covers representative traditional music, traditional dance, traditional opera, folk art and so on.

Meanwhile, Jilin Intangible Cultural Heritage Exposition was held from June 10^th to June 16^th. The exposition invites various inheritors and protection units to show intangible cultural heritage projects including Manchu paper cutting and so on.

On June 10^th, intangible cultural heritage protection lectures were themed as “Cross-border Integration, Creative Development”, which was held on the first floor of the Science & Culture Square - the academic hall of the Public Art Museum. The invited experts carried out relevant seminars, attracting hundreds of people.

On the second floor of Science & Culture Square – the Public Art Museum, Tonghua Normal University and its 10 education inheritance bases jointly organized the Tonghua achievement exhibition. This exhibition was held from June 9^th to 16^th. The exhibition covers universities, middle schools, primary schools, kindergartens and extra-school educational institutions. The involving intangible cultural heritage projects include Manchu paper cutting, Manchu Zhentouding embroidery in Changbai Mountain and so on.

In addition, other areas in Jilin have also carried out a variety of activities to celebrate China’s first “Cultural and Natural Heritage Day”. These activities make the cultural heritage really come into the public life, so that more people feel the magnificent cultural charm.
