Inner Mongolia Added 88 Intangible Cultural Heritage Projects

On May 28th, 2018, the government of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region announced the sixth batch of intangible cultural heritage list and the extension list of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. 88 projects such as Chahar Folk Tales were selected into the ICH list, and 50 projects such as the Felicitations were selected into the extension list.

 

Up to now, Inner Mongolia has 587 intangible cultural heritage projects at the autonomous region level, of which 89 are national intangible cultural heritage projects.

 

This batch of ICH projects include 4 folk literature projects, such as Chahar Folk Tales, Hulun Buir Legend; and 5 traditional music projects, such as Mani Ode, Mongolian Three-stringed Music; and 5 projects of traditional sports, recreation and acrobatics, such as Taiji, Cha Quan of Hui nationality; and 19 traditional art projects, such as the Mongolian Jade Carving, Reed Painting, Agate Carving, the Bahrain Stone Carving, the Jade Micro Carving, the Khitan Embroidery; and 25 traditional technique projects, such as Oil Manufacture Technique, the Mongolian Enamel Craft, the Mongolian Ink Making Technique, the Mongolia Knife Making Technique, the Muslim Tea Soup Making Technique; and 18 traditional medicine projects, such as Mongolian Medicine Bath Therapy, Mongolian Medicine (liver disease therapy), Mongolian Medical Constitution Identification; and 12 folk custom projects, such as Mongolian Tea-drinking Custom, Mongolian Camel Feeding Custom, Huangmudu Temple Fair.
