In February and May, 2018, after strict selection and review, the people’sgovernment of Xinluo District of Longyan City, Fujian Province officiallyannounced the first batch of intangible cultural heritage representative projects,a total of 19 projects. The projects of traditional techniques include thetraditional production techniques of Longyan tea (from Jiangshan Town), the productiontechniques of Longmen iron ware (from Longmen Town), the production techniquesof Yanshi hoe (from Yanshi Town), the production techniques of lantern (fromWan’an Town), the production techniques of Wan’an dry-cured ducks (from Wan’anTown), the production techniques of Suban rice noodles (from Suban Town), the traditionalproduction techniques of Hongfang Malao (from Hongfang Town), the productiontechniques of Longyan fish (from Zhongcheng Street), the production techniquesof Longyan fish ball soup (from Xicheng Street). The folk custom projectsinclude Subang Lantern Festival (from Yanshi Town), Longyan Qiaotou (fromHongfang Town). The traditional opera project includes Longyan folk song (from LongyanFolk Song Inheritance Center). The traditional sports, recreation andacrobatics project includes Dongxiao lion dance (from Dongxiao Town). The traditionalmedicine projects include Dachi Wu’s bone fracture therapy (from Dachi Town), thedecoction for large colorectal diseases (from Beicheng Street). The traditionalmusic project include Longyan Raopingchui ( from Xipo Town). The folkliterature project includes Jiangshan Sleeping Beauty Legend (from JiangshanTown).

In addition, the Xinluo District also has 1 national intangible culturalheritage project and 5 provincial ones, including Longyan pick-tea lantern,Longyan folk song, Shizhong Obon custom, Longyan music, Longyan wine productiontechniques, Longyan salty crisp peanut production techniques.

The relevant responsible departments said that in the next, the Xinluo Districtwill conscientiously implement the policy of “Protection Based, Rescue First,Rational Use, Inheritance and Development”, and further strengthen theprotection of intangible cultural heritage.
