On December 26^th, Hubei Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Provincial Economic and Information Technology Department announced the first batch of Hubei Province traditional craft revitalization catalogue, a total of 21 projects in this batch. The three intangible cultural heritage projects in Xianning were selected in this catalogue: Xianning wood carving (Tongshan wood carving), Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment (Zhen's rheumatism Ma Qianzi therapy), black tea production skills (Zhao Liqiao brick tea production).

Tongshan wood carving is one of the genres of Chinese folk wood carving, mainly distributed in Tongshan County and its surrounding areas in Hubei. In 2014, Tongshan County was selected as the “Hometown of Chinese Folk Culture and Art” in 2014-2016. Xiong Yinghua, the inheritor of Tongshan Woodcarving, is a representative inheritor of the national intangible cultural heritage project.

Zhao Liqiao Brick Tea is also known as “Chuanzi Tea”, which includes two categories: blue brick tea and rice brick tea. Zhao Liqiao Brick Tea Production Skills is the fourth batch of national intangible cultural heritage representative project list traditional skill projects.

"Zhen's rheumatism Ma Qianzi therapy" is a series of traditional hand-made processing of the Ma Qianzi, and then mixed with other processed medicine powder to make the Ma Qianzi powder. In recent years, Xianning Matang Rheumatology Hospital, the protection unit of Zhenzhen Rheumatism and Ma Qianzi Therapy Project, has increased the excavation, rescue and protection of “Zhen's Rheumatism Ma Qianzi Therapy”.
