On May 27th, The 2014 annual meeting led by the ChinaWorld Heritage Monitoring Center was held in Beijing. Professionals who studyon cultural relics all around the country came to discuss the Chinese WorldHeritage monitoring and the construction of a platform for the exchange ofmonitoring and early warning system. The annual report of the China WorldHeritage monitoring was also released.

It is recommended that up to May 2015, Imperial Palaceof the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum, and other 31 heritages(58 monitoring management units) submitted annual monitoring reports throughChina's world cultural heritage monitoring and early warning platform.Theplatform has summarized and analyzed about the 2014 annual test report ofheritage sites from 16 items, including the inscription commitment performing,personnel training, degree of basic information completion, overall patternchange of heritages and so on. Moreover, The annual report of Chinese WorldCultural Heritage Monitoring has been generated. The analysis results show thattaking the change of the overall pattern as an example, in 2014, there are fiveheritage sites taking a change with their overall patterns, including theEmperor Qin Shihuang, Dazu rock carvings, Yungang Grottoes, the Silk Road—Great BuddhistTemple Grottoes and Mount Wuyi. The Yungang Grottoes of which expanded thescope of protection has increased the coordination area; the original woodlandsaround Mount Wuyi have become farmlands, and Seoul sites around the originalcultivated lands have come into lands for construction purposes. Up to December2014, there were 1007 world heritage sites in the world, including 779 culturalheritages, 197 natural heritages and also 31 heritages which both of culturaland natural. In addition in China, there are 47 world heritages, of which 33are cultural ones,10 are natural ones, and 4 heritages which both of culturaland natural .
