The humanity documentary--"inheritance", jointly made by the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the CPC and the CCTV(China centraltelevision), had the global premiere on CCTV international’s Chinese Channel(CCTV-4) from November 9th to 15^th, every night at 10:00 .

The documentary "inheritance" based on intangible cultural heritageprojects and ancient skills in mainland China and Taiwan, records virtuosityand life stories about 50 inheritors. It is the first time that such a subjectgets extensive coverage on CCTV. It fully shows great wisdom that accumulated in hundreds or thousands of years through the form of documentary. They aware the ancient times and equip with unique skills. And they respect ancestors’wisdom in order to carry on the excellent Chinese traditional culture fromgeneration to generation. It is understood that the film director of"inheritance" surveyed in Congjiang(a county in Guizhou Province) in January,2014,concerningthe local intangible cultural heritage projects. Consequently, he selected twoprovincial intangible cultural heritage projects: the Miao quinceanera  in Basha and culture of tree burial ,and oneworld project: Dong Songs.

The documentary "inheritance" uses many Chinese elements as content andstructure, divided into Tao and five elements in traditional Chinesestudies(including Jin, Mu, Shui, Huo, Tu) as well as Harmony. There are sevensets,Tao as a start and Harmony as an end. The other five use the Five ElementsTheory of traditional culture as the main line, taking ideographical expressions to show the intangible cultural heritage projects. Each shows fiveinheritors from the mainland and two from Taiwan and their related techniques. Thepower of Chinese cultural heritage is showed by inheritors’ life stories andskills. The Miao adult ceremony in Basha and tree burial culture, Gaohua’smedicated bath culture and Xiaohuang Dong songs are respectively included intothe "Mu","Shui"and"Harmony".

Itis reported that the documentary "inheritance" has had the globalpremiere on CCTV international’s Chinese Channel (CCTV-4) on November 9th,one episode every night. Congjiang’s Basha quinceanera ,the Yao nationality’smedicated bath and Dong songs had shown to the audiences at home and abroad through the CCTV platform again.
