The annual Quxi Fair will open in Quxi Old Street, located in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Provinceon March 9^th. The reporter understood from Ouhai Bureau of Culture,Broadcasting, Television, Press and Publication that the Fair would last from March 9th to 13th. More than 40 intangible cultural heritage representative projects will be exhibited on this Fair.

QuxiFair has a history of more than 200 years. In 2016, Ouhai Cultural Department and Quxi Street have jointly rented over 50 street shops to creatively set up the Culture Street for traditional crafts of intangible cultural heritage. Morethan 40 intangible cultural heritage representative projects will build platforms to perform. At that time, the public can see plenty of traditional craft production processes, buying many traditional and original handmade worksand collections and taste traditional cate.

QuxiFair will also launch numerous activities this year, such as the traditional crafts exhibition, special literature and art performance in the Old Street, Quxi culture forum of intangible cultural heritage, the recreational interaction,the local delicacies exhibition and so on. Regarding Zhenqing Bookstore as thepavilion, Quxi Old Street as the main street, the Fair will hold a parade withthe theme of Hanfu, including trying on for photographs, Hanfu exhibitions,Hanfu tea arts experiences, writing the word “Fu”, learning Hanfu etiquette andso on. On March 10th, the street will hold a forum themed as “ancient townprotection and development” in Qijun Former Residence, inviting celebrities andculture experts from all walks of life to make recommendations focused on the inheritance and development of Qijun culture, the protection and development of Quxi Old Street, etc.
