The 2nd Intangible Cultural Heritage Exposition of the Yangtze River will be opened in Wuhan International Convention and Exhibition Center from 13th to 17th this month.

 

This Exposition covers an area of 20,000 square meters, whose theme is “The Civilization of the Yangtze River, the Brilliance of the Intangible Cultural Heritage”. More than 500 national or provincial projects and 1,000 inheritors will be invited to participate. There will be 5 special exhibitions of the Yangtze River, including the traditional clothing art exhibition, the traditional diet art exhibition, the traditional Chinese medicine art exhibition, the traditional handicraft exhibition and Hubei intangible cultural heritage training achievement exhibition. Embroideries, paper-cuts, lacquerwares are the most characteristic projects in Yangtze River Basin.

 

It is reported that Wuhan City will set up separate exhibitions to show 31 intangible cultural heritage projects, including Chinese embroidery, Wuhan’s clay, Wuhan’s paper-cut, Wuhan’s woodcarvings and so on. Meanwhile, 13 districts of Wuhan will prepare exhibitions in communities and schools.
