On October 25^th, 2017, the Shanxi Provincial People’s Government announced the Fifth Batch of Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage List. There are 22 intangible cultural heritage projects of Linfen into the list.

These 22 intangible cultural heritage projects in Linfen include 4 folk literature projects, 3 traditional dance projects, 1 acrobatics project, 2 traditional art projects, 7 traditional technique projects, 3 traditional medicine projects and 2 folk projects.

Four folk literature projects include Susan Legend, Feihong Pagoda Legend, Boyi Legend and the Story of Yao Making Chess. Three traditional dance projects include Dachai Drum, Huozhou Yingko and Fushan Stilts. The acrobatics project is Shanxi Daoqing (a form of folkart). Two traditional art projects include Yonghe Paper-cutting and Taiping Hydrangea. Seven traditional technique projects include Yutangchun Brewing Technique, Zhaocheng Pot-stewed Meat Production Technique, Quwo Millet Vinegar Production Technique, Willow Production Technique in Pu County, Pingyang Colored Sculpture Production Technique, Binding of Ancient Books and Xiangfen Brick Carving Technique. Three traditional medicine projects include Xie Moxibustion, Yao Ointment and Ointment for Burn Skin. Two folk projects include the Water Festival Custom on March 18^th and Xiaoxitian Temple Fair.

Now, Linfen has 21 national, 136 provincial and 300 city-level intangible cultural heritage projects, which makes Linfen rank in the forefront of Shanxi Province.
