The Fifth Batch of Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage List in Anhui was Announced
On November 14th, 2017, the Anhui Provincial Government announced the fifth batch of provincial intangible cultural heritage list, including 123 new projects and 12 expansion projects, belonging to ten categories.
The 40 projects of traditional skills include chloranthus tea production techniques, Shimo tea production techniques, Jinbuhuan wine brewing techniques and so on. The 5 projects of folk literature include Chen Tuan legend, Zhang Bo legend and the other three. The 8 projects of traditional music include Jiuhua folk songs, Shitai folk songs, Guangang folk songs, Linhuan suona and the other four. The 14 projects of traditional dance include Xiuning drum, red lantern dance and so on. The 4 projects of traditional drama include shadow puppetry of Ma genre, Sixian Yao drama and the other two. The 4 projects of Quyi include Yingshang story-telling, Lingbi drum, Huaihe drum and Chengling drum. The 5 projects of traditional sports, entertainment and acrobatics include Liuhe boxing in Bengbu county, Wudang Tai Chi in Taihe county and the other three. The 10 projects of traditional medicine include Wang medicine in Xin’an county, snakebite therapy in Qimen county and the other eight. The 17 projects of folk custom include Chuang-tzu, worship ceremony, Hu Dragon lantern and so on.
According to the relevant personage, the number of the first four provincial intangible cultural heritage projects account for 343. The fifth batch of provincial intangible cultural heritage projects have three characteristics. First, the names of projects become more standardized and scientific, with the unprecedented depth and breadth. Second, the number of projects has increased over previous years, laying the foundation of implementing “China’s Traditional Craft Revitalization Program”. Third, the number of traditional medicine projects has increased significantly.
