On December 7^th, 2017, learned from the Xiangyang (a city of Hubei Province) Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center, the sixth batch of Xiangyang municipal intangible cultural heritage list and the municipal intangible cultural heritage extension list have been approved and published. These two lists involve 15 intangible cultural heritage projects and 9 declared areas or units.

The sixth batch of Xiangyang municipal intangible cultural heritage list includes 12 projects divided into 7categories, including the Legend of Meng Haoran, the Song of JiuLianHuan; Xiangyang Opera; Double-hook Calligraphy, Baokang Embroidery, Wu Sugar Painting, Handmade Silverware Skills, Sanduoan Brewing Techniques of Yellow Wine, Brewing Techniques of Distilled Wine, Cao Pottery Techniques, Zhang Acupuncture and Massage and Baokang Marriage Customs.

The municipal intangible cultural heritage extension list includes 3 projects from 3 areas, including the Legend of Bianhe Presenting the Jade, Laohekou traditional opera, Zaoyang paper-cut.

At present, Xiangyang has 8 national intangible cultural heritage projects, 30 provincial projects and 95 municipal projects.
