On January 5^th, 2018, the Zhejiang Provincial Cultural Department announced the list of the fifth batch of provincial intangible cultural heritage representative inheritors. A total of 279 inheritors were recognized as the fifth batch of representative inheritors. The list covers 10 categories. There are 14 inheritors of the folk literature category, such as CONG Chuan from Hangzhou City, LUO Jiaxu from Jiande City; 20 inheritors of the traditional music category, such as ZHANG Yiqing from Hangzhou City, WANG Jindong from Wenzhou City; 27 inheritors of the traditional dance category, such as LU Chao from Jiande City, ZHENG Mengjuan from Ningbo City; 19 inheritors of the traditional opera category, such as ZHOU Lijun from Cixi City, FANG Rujiang from Wenzhou City; 12 inheritors of the Chinese opera category, such as FANG Jianlin from Hangzhou City, HUANG Chingduo from Yueqing City; 19 inheritors of the traditional sports category, recreational and acrobatics, such as YU Baolin form Jiande City, CHENG Miaoshui form Hangzhou City; 32 inheritors of the traditional art category, such as ZHANG Wei from Hangzhou City, YE Liangkang form Ningbo City; 84 inheritors of the traditional techniques category, such as HU Jianmin from Jiaxing City, LI Shuirong from Huzhou City; 11 inheritors of the traditional medicine category, such as WANG Tianliang from Lanxi City,SHI Xiaowen form Jiaxing City; and, 41 inheritors of the folk customs category, such as XU Maer from Tonglu County, LI Cheng from Jiande City.

Sofar, there are 122 national intangible cultural heritage representative inheritors and 1215 provincial intangible cultural heritage inheritors in Zhejiang. The number of national and provincial inheritors ranks the top in the country.

Meanwhile, the fifth batch of national intangible cultural heritage representative inheritors list is being publicized by the Ministry of Culture. Among the list, there are 67 inheritors born in Zhejiang, ranking the first in the country.
