On July 2nd, 2018, the fifth batch of Wuzhou municipal intangible cultural heritage list was published and 14 projects were selected. So far, Wuzhou City of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region has had 92 municipal intangible cultural heritage projects.

It is reported that many of the newly selected projects are familiar to everyone. Among them, projects of the food category include the production techniques of Wuzhou soybean drink with milk, the production techniques of Wuzhou moon cake, the production techniques of Taiping rice cake in Tengxian County, the production techniques of Wuzhou maltose and the production techniques of salty pickles in Tengxian County.

The projects of the folklore category include the traditional folklore-Niuniang celebrating the New Spring, which is circulated in the Cenxi City; the Cangwu folk songs chanting with Cangwu dialects; the series of celebrations and folklore praying for the birth of the dragon mother in Cenxi City; the sparkler-grabbing sports in the Xiangqi and Lingjing Towns of Tengxian County; the Mengshan artillery lion with more than 1000 years; and Wuzhou’s traditional folk art-Wuzhou Lion Head Lottery.

Other selected projects include the Wuzhou Zhou Pugilism with high historical, cultural and artistic values; the local snake wound therapy inWuzhou; and the traditional brewing techniques of the Wuzhou snake wine in the history of more than 700 years.
