In order to strengthen the construction of inheritors and protect and inherit the representative projects of intangible cultural heritage in Southwest Guizhou Autonomous Prefecture, the fifth batch of representative intangible cultural heritage projects at the prefecture level were selected by experts. 72 representative projects were selected.

It is reported that the list is divided into eight categories, including traditional dance, folk literature, traditional music, traditional drama, traditional sports, traditional arts, traditional techniques and folk customs. The 81 projects were recommended. And finally 72 ones were included in the recommended list, including 9 projects in Xingyi City, 11 projects in Pu’an County, 4 projects in Xingren City, 10 projects in Anlong County, 18 projects in Zhenfeng County, 10 projects in Ceheng County and 10 projects in Qinglong County.

There are two projects of traditional dance, including Jinqian stick dance, the marrying dance; four projects of folk literature, such as Bouyei folk songs, Miao chord; ten projects of traditional music, such as Bouyei gongs, Bouyei suona tune, Miao folk songs; two projects of traditional sports, such as Miao shuttlecock; one project of traditional art, namely, Bouyei paper-cut; 34 projects of traditional techniques, such as traditional craftsmanship of brown sugar, the production techniques of pound cake, the techniques of making iron of Bouyei; and 17 projects of folk customs, such as Qingmiao oral family genealogy, Miao’s buria, Miao’ Caihua Festival and so on.
