Two skills of Zhengzhou High-tech Zone were selected into the list of municipal intangible cultural heritage representative projects

The Zhengzhou Municipal Government recently announced the list of the sixth batch of representative projects of intangible cultural heritage in Zhengzhou, and the two projects of traditional hand-carving skills and Cloisonne enamel making techniques declared by the High-tech Zone were selected.

 

These two skills are traditional hand-carved craftsmanship and silk craftsmanship. Traditional hand-carved craftsmanship is an ancient art category. The art of leather carving originated in Europe and is known as a "living fossil" of folk art, together with traditional embroidery and shadow play. In the early days of China, the art of leather carving only served the royal family and the nobility, and was taught privately by craftsmen. It didn't spread among the people until after the 20th century.

 

Cloisonne enamel, its production is generally in gold, copper tires with gold wire or copper wire out of the pattern, filled with a variety of colors of enamel after roasting, grinding, gold plating and other processes.

 

It is reported that the application of intangible cultural heritage project is of great significance to the preservation of local culture in the High-tech Zone. At present, the High-tech Zone has been selected into 6 municipal intangible cultural heritage projects and 24 district-level intangible cultural heritage projects.
