Recently, the People's Government of Fujian Province announced the sixth batch of provincial-level intangible cultural heritage representative projects, and the Zhangping peasant paintings were selected.

It is understood that peasant paintings are based on practical folk paintings that have been circulated in rural areas for a long time. They are an art form in which peasants express the original artistic perception and aesthetic emotions, and are closely related to the production and life of the masses and the folk customs.

In recent years, the farmers' paintings in Zhangping County have fully utilized their own advantages, refined and deep-processed the traditional culture of the Eight Diagrams, and presented the artistic style of the peasant paintings with the advantages of the group. More than 500 works have been selected and awarded in national and provincial art exhibitions. More than 100 pieces were collected by provincial art galleries, and many works were selected for exhibition abroad and collected. The Zhangping peasant painting has become one of Longyan's business cards for foreign cultural exchanges, and is also a rare art treasure in the art world of Fujian Province.
