Recently, the Boxing County Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center completed the third batch of county-level intangible cultural heritage project review activities. After evaluation by the expert panel, more than ten non-legacy projects were selected for the third batch of intangible cultural heritage of Boxing County: paper-cutting skills, Cao Ying dog meat, Hubin hotel freshwater fish production skills, Donggong wine brewing skills, Xin Zhang Plum blossoms, etc.

Two outstanding representatives of the third batch of county-level intangible cultural heritage projects---- Geng yanzhen paper-cutting skills and Hubin freshwater fish production skills.

Geng yanzhen paper-cutting skills: The inheritor is familiar with all kinds of paper-cutting techniques, and at the same time combines with blue-printing plates to gradually form a distinctive style. On the whole, his works are more diverse and more dynamic. His masterpieces include lined paper-cut "Wan Shou Tuan Zi",tear-off paper "Tiger Hat Doll", mixed paper-cut "Peking Opera mask" and so on.

Hubin freshwater fish production skills: Boxing County, Shandong Province is the core area for freshwater fish production and traditional cooking. The Hubin Hotel, which began in 1992, is located on the shore of Ma Da Lake, which is known as “the north of the country, the land of fish and rice”. With 30 years of development, Hubin Hotel has gradually developed in the inheritance, development and traditional cooking of freshwater fish in Ma Dahu. It has always made a fuss about the characteristics of the lake area - "Freshwater Fish". After years of technical inheritance, "red-burned soft-shelled turtle", "salmon squid soup", "faced pepper", "water-fried squid" have become the traditional representative dishes of Boxing freshwater fish.
