Yizunxuan traditional furniture making skills were selected into "the sixth batch of Shanghai intangible cultural heritage representative project"

Recently, the Shanghai Municipal People's Government announced the sixth batch of Shanghai Intangible Cultural Heritage Representative Projects List (31 items in total) and the Shanghai Intangible Cultural Heritage Representative Project Directory Expansion Project Directory (19 items in total).

 

The “Traditional Furniture Making Skills” declared by Yizunxuan was successfully selected into the traditional skill category, No. 171, No. VIII-67.

 

On the basis of traditional Chinese Ming style, Su Zuo and other furniture techniques, Yizun Xuan incorporates Western-style furniture design concepts and production techniques, which have enabled the millennium traditional crafts to be more widely used, refined, innovated and developed in the new era.

 

Mr. Bao Tianwei, the founder of Yizunxuan and the master of Chinese arts and crafts, was born in a wooden family. From the first-generation Bao Yushi to the second generation of Bao Huanwu, who is known as the "Southern First Axe", it has been passed down for four generations.

 

Yizunxuan traditional furniture production technology combines the practicality, comfort and fashion of the Shanghai style, which is a treasure trove of traditional culture worth studying.
