Seven projects were selected into the sixth batch of district-level intangible cultural heritage projects in Nanhai District, Foshan City

The Nanhai District Government of Foshan City has recently announced the sixth batch of district-level intangible cultural heritage projects, and seven intangible cultural heritage projects such as “Suona production technology” have been selected. So far, the number of district-level intangible cultural heritage projects in the Nanhai District has reached 66. The selected projects will receive funding subsidies and promotion and promotion every year.

 

The selected projects include Hong Boxing, Zhou Jia Boxing, Dragon Shape Boxing, Suona production technology, Pingzhou Traditional Jade Craftsmanship, Guangxiu Skills (Shi Shi ken), Shar Pei Dog Fighting Customs, which fall into three categories of traditional sports and entertainment, acrobatics, traditional skills and folk customs.

 

The three traditional skills selected have still been inherited by the craftsmen. Pingzhou Pingbei Lianfa Hardware Craft Factory in Guicheng has been has been making suona for more than 100 years, The 70-year-old craftsman Lin Binghao inherits and improves traditional techniques and makes suona with bright tone. Pingzhou traditional jade production technology began in the Republic of China, now Pingzhou jade street has become the most complete national industrial chain of the characteristic jade culture industry base.

 

Nanhai district requires all towns (streets) to protect, manage and utilize the intangible cultural heritage items listed in the list and other valuable intangible cultural heritage items, so that they can be inherited and developed.
