Primary exploration on international cooperation and exchange platform construction of traditional Chinese medicine under the background of “One Belt and One Road” initiative

Under the background of “One Belt and One Road” initiative, the global development of TCM ushers in new opportunity, which also brings new challenges for the international cooperation and exchange model of TCM hospitals.

There are three main difficulties when TCM develop abroad. First, the development of TCM is unbalance in the countries which along the Belt and Road Initiative . Second, the standardization of TCM has not been established. Third, depth and breadth of international cooperation is insufficient while trade barriers still exist.

This paper analyzes the problems and difficulties of TCM international, combining with the relevant practical experience of international cooperation and exchange in a certain grade 3A TCM hospital, which were carrying out the collaboration of overseas central construction of traditional medicine, medicine service, scientific research cooperation and talent cultivation, expanding the depth and breadth of communication constantly, improving the levels of cooperation and exchange of TCM, thus put forward some suggestions for constructing international cooperation and exchange platform of TCM: taking the cultural transmission of TCM as foundation, coordinated development of TCM standardization and intellectual property strategy as premise, cultivating the international compound talents of TCM as key points, actively promoting the scientific research and technical cooperation of TCM during the international institutions, building long-term mechanism of international cooperation and exchange of TCM with international friendly, to form more close and pragmatic partnership.
